This is a fast-paced role focused on ensuring the efficient utilisation of vehicles and drivers while delivering exceptional service to customers. \n The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily fleet activities, maximising operational efficiency, and maintaining excellent communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Planning and coordinating daily vehicle movements.\n, • Managing driver schedules and ensuring efficient fleet utilisation.\n, • Monitoring vehicle locations and responding proactively to operational issues.\n, • Liaising with customers regarding delivery schedules and service requirements.\n, • Ensuring compliance with driver hours, transport legislation, and company procedures.\n, • Managing transport planning systems and operational reporting.\n, • Monitoring KPIs and supporting continuous improvements within the transport function.\n, • Working closely with ports, warehouses, and third-party service providers.\n, • Handling customer queries and resolving transport-related issues promptly.\n, • Supporting the wider transport team to achieve service and performance targets.\n\n Skills & Experience Required \n\n • Previous experience within a Fleet Controller, Transport Planner, Traffic Operator, or Transport Coordinator position.\n, • Strong understanding of UK transport operations and fleet management.\n, • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.\n, • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.\n, • Strong communication skills with both customers and drivers.\n, • Good knowledge of transport management systems and Microsoft Office.\n, • A proactive and customer-focused approach.\n\n What's On Offer? \n\n • Salary of up to £34,000 depending on experience.\n, • Performance-related bonus scheme.\n, • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\n, • Excellent training and development opportunities.\n, • Genuine opportunities for progression within a growing international business.\n, • Supportive team environment with a small-company feel.\n, • Stability and benefits associated with a larger global organisation.\n\n If you're an organised transport professional who thrives on solving problems and keeping operations running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you. \n
