JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced and proactive Meetings & Events Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality international meetings and events in the healthcare sector. Acting as the primary client contact, you will ensure every event is delivered seamlessly, on budget, and in full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will combine strategic oversight with hands-on execution, managing supplier relationships, creative direction, budget control, and on-site coordination. This role offers exciting international travel opportunities, providing the chance to oversee and deliver events across the globe. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee the full lifecycle of meetings and events, from planning through on-site delivery and post-event reporting., • Ensure all logistical aspects of events meet client expectations and contractual requirements., • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and quality throughout the planning and delivery process., • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with programme suppliers, ensuring compliance and excellent service (excluding hotel sourcing)., • Review and manage all event-related contracts (Client, hotels, suppliers, speakers, and fees), ensuring alignment with client expectations and legal/regulatory requirements in accordance with internal guidelines., • Manage attendee registration, communications, and overall experience, ensuring data accuracy and positive engagement., • Act as the primary client contact, providing proactive updates, guidance, and solutions throughout the planning process., • Oversee creative design and content for meetings and events, ensuring brand consistency and client alignment., • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and recommendations., • Lead and support team members through clear direction, communication, and workflow management., • Manage event budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with client contracts, while identifying cost efficiencies without compromising quality., • Ensure strict adherence to client-specific account processes, brand standards, compliance requirements, and operational guidelines., • Keep abreast of industry trends, technology, and best practice to drive innovation and continuous improvement., • Travel on-site as programme lead, managing on-site teams, client briefings, and debriefings to ensure successful delivery., • Utilise and optimise event management and registration systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy., • Maintain precise data entry and reporting across all technology platforms. QUALIFICATIONS • 5–7 years’ experience in event or meeting management; experience within the pharmaceutical sector preferred., • Strong knowledge of meeting management processes, including compliance and reporting standards (e.g., EFPIA)., • International destination knowledge., • Proven ability to build and manage key client and supplier relationships., • Proficiency in Cvent and other relevant event technology tools., • Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills., • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Hospitality preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT • Travel required (20–25%), including occasional weekends., • Must be able to lift up to 23 kilograms and stand for extended periods during events., • Work undertaken remotely or designated event space, such as a hotel or conference venue.
