What You Will Lead, Shape and Champion You will be part of a people-first team, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to: Strengthen a positive, proactive safety culture built on trust and shared responsibility Support incident investigations with empathy, clarity and follow-through Lead DSE provision for every working style - office, scheme-based and hybrid Work collaboratively with Facilities and L&D to modernise processes and spark improvement Oversee our lone worker system, fleet safety, and PPE/RPE standards Inspire our network of safety champions - including fire wardens, first aiders and mental health first aiders - helping them feel confident and supported Carry out site visits, review RAMS, and ensure assessments reflect real-world situations and real people Every interaction is an opportunity to bring people with you, build understanding, and help colleagues feel heard and respected. What You Bring We are looking for someone who brings curiosity, kindness and a proactive mindset to every task. You will have: A NEBOSH General Certificate or a commitment to completing it with our support Experience in a Health & Safety role or the drive and readiness to step up from an administrative position Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation (or the motivation to build it quickly) A collaborative approach, someone who listens, supports and encourages A genuine passion for helping people feel safe, included and confident in their roles Why You Will Love Being Part of Hightown Here, you won’t just join a team, you will join a community grounded in care, connection and shared purpose.
