The Integrated Shift Engineer provides day-to-day technical support to the production shift team, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently and reliably. You will manage reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and help identify long-term improvements within the plant. This role offers autonomy, variety and the opportunity to influence real improvements within a collaborative and safety-driven team. Youll work on site on a 4 on / 4 off rotating pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 12-hour shifts) and occasionally travel for training when required. What youll do: • Provide first-line response to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues in fast moving environments and restoring production safely and promptly., • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and help improve existing maintenance activities across the site., • Support continuous improvement by identifying problems, proposing long-term solutions and helping drive plant reliability., • Work closely with the production shift team, communicating clearly and helping prioritise work effectively., • Use maintenance systems and processes to record work, support performance reporting and maintain operational standards., • Take initiative to structure your workday, balancing reactive tasks with planned maintenance. What youll bring: • Strong engineering background from a manufacturing, production or process-driven environment, ideally multiskilled with mechanical and electrical capability., • Competent in diagnosing faults on motor control circuits and mechanical systems, including pneumatics, gearmotors, pumps, and fans., • Confident in responding to breakdowns and making sound technical decisions in fast paced situations., • A strong hands-on training background in reliability or maintenance developed during a time served apprenticeship., • Ability to balance reactive and planned work, structure your day and prioritise effectively., • Strong communication skills and comfortable working independently and within a maintenance team., • Willingness to learn, upskill and adapt within a fast-paced environment. We are currently pivoting to a "learner-led" digital model, building a subscription platform that allows freelancers to choose their own training on-demand, recognising that no two career paths result in the same knowledge gaps. Starting with the Production Office Department, we have a clear roadmap to expand into other operations and logistics departments and sectors of the industry. We aim to run an easy, flexible and low-cost (and where possible no-cost) resource that will provide knowledge and confidence to our clients and participants. The Role: Defined by You I am looking for a Project & Funding Manager based in/within commuting distance from the Calder Valley to manage the funding and delivery of existing services and exploration of new opportunities. You do not need to be from the Film & TV industry or have a background in training or education; I value the lived workplace experience of someone from any industry including those with a charity, arts, corporate, educational, or civil service background . I would like the successful candidate to feel that they are contributing to the direction of the business by identifying new concepts and curating a slate of exciting new potential projects to add to what has already been developed. This role is designed to be ultra-inclusive . I value your output over "presenteeism." The role will report directly to the founder/MD. Your focus will be: Funding & Tenders: Researching and coordinating the bidding for training tenders across multiple sectors. Also providing your own input into what projects should be applied for and why they would suit our brand. This will require creativity, strong opinions and alignment with the companys culture. . Project Management: Overseeing successful tenders, from marketing and recruitment to managing the logistical delivery of courses and events. Financial & Audit Management: Managing budgets, monitoring cashflow during live projects, and acting as the lead contact for fund managers during audits. (You will not be required to complete accountancy responsibilities such as payroll and tax returns.) Operational Scaling: Supporting the growth of our new subscription platform and book series including accreditation applications. You will be helping to ensure that the outgoing services/delivery of tendered projects complement and align with the in-house products on the digital and print platforms. Skills and Requirements: A proven ability to self-manage your time and work to deadlines. Ability to prioritise based on your own judgment while still reporting up where appropriate. No specialist computer or technical skills are required, but a high level of computer literacy is needed for use of Microsoft tools, email, google docs & sheets. Time will be allowed for familiarisation in other software if needed. The ability to use social media to post and promote events is essential. Fundraising or procurement experience is desirable. This will include research and EOI/application writing. However, a proven level of experience in roles with transferable skills will be valuable as well. Remuneration Annual Salary: To be reflective of experience and levels of responsibility/working hours we discuss and eventually agree. We are also open to discussing some levels of commission based on funds raised but this is intended to be a salary based position rather than gig role.
