Job Role: Support Worker / Children's Residential Home. Location: Runcorn Salary: £12.60 per hour PLUS additional: £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000 -£6,000 P/A) Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle are essential in this role. We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our family home, caring for younger children who very active and energetic. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. The role can be physically demanding and you will need lots of energy to keep up BUT you could be the person to change a life for the better. Job Description: Achieve Training is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Tutor to join our dynamic team in Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry and a passion for teaching and inspiring secondary school students. This role involves delivering engaging, practical motor vehicle courses that equip students with the technical skills and theoretical knowledge required for a career in the automotive sector. Key Responsibilities: • Course Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality motor vehicle lessons to secondary school students, ensuring all learning objectives and curriculum standards are met., • Practical Training: Provide hands-on training in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, using industry-standard tools and equipment., • Assessment: Assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements., • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the motor vehicle curriculum, incorporating current industry trends and practices., • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success., • Health and Safety: Ensure all training activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe learning environment for all students. Qualifications and Experience: • Relevant qualifications in motor vehicle engineering or a related field., • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry., • Previous teaching or training experience, preferably not essential with secondary school students., • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, AET, PTTLS, Cert Ed) is desirable but not essential., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
