Meeting with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency. Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events. Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets. Mobilizing individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation. Speaking to groups, classes and organizations. Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups. Experience: No prior experience is necessary, we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPAs/background. Details: This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available. Start Date: New programs begin every month, you choose the month you wish to start.

We work with quite a diverse range of mental health illnesses, such as schizophrenia, Bipolar, anxiety, depression. Some behaviours are self-harming, self-medicating with substances. Some verbal aggression. We work with a lot of people that have a forensic history are under the Firs-team. These PWS are under the MOJ and have conditions to their discharge. It is a busy service with a lot of professionals coming and going. Therefore, candidates need to have calming a nature. Staff are required to have a good understanding of Mental health conditions ; they need to be positive in nature and confident. Staff will need be confident in lone worker and working of their own initiative. Good IT skills, spoken language, communication skills are required.
