Occupational Therapists - Autism Diagnostic Service Location: South Coast of England (Sussex Region) & Remote (Nationwide) Dates: Flexible, work around your current commitments Hours: Typically, 08:30 – 18:30 Pay: £250 per completed assessment (outside IR35) Make a Difference IDMCS (part of ID Medical Group) is expanding our specialist autism diagnostic service and is looking to welcome experienced ADOS-trained Occupational Therapists to our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive service that is scaling to meet rising demand, helping to reduce waiting times, accelerate diagnoses and improve outcomes for children and families. Who We’re Looking For We are recruiting specialists from the following professional backgrounds: • Occupational Therapists (OT), • Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), • Clinical Psychologists, • Neurodevelopmental Nurses You must be HCPC or NMC registered and formally trained and experienced in ADOS or ADI-R. Role Overview Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Paediatricians, Psychiatrists and Psychologists, you will: • Conduct face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments using the appropriate module for the child’s age and ability, • Record detailed behavioural observations, • Contribute findings to the MDT diagnostic discussion, • Support the consultant clinician in providing same-day feedback to families, • Add a concise written summary of your ADOS findings to contribute to the diagnostic report (issued within six weeks), • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold safeguarding standards throughout Each assessment is fully inclusive of observation, scoring, MDT discussion, reporting and feedback. Clinics are typically scheduled for four assessments per day. Rewards & Benefits • £45K – £55K Basic (dependent on experience), • Company Car, • Private Healthcare, • 4 x Life Assurance, • 5% Matched Pension, • Company Credit Card (Travel Expenses), • Overtime (1.25x paid on any hours worked above contracted 39 hours per week), • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays About The Role As a Field Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work from a home office and be responsible for: • Operating in an 80% mechanical and 20% electrical role., • Working within a service engineering team supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers in the UK with a particular focus on the South., • Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming., • On rare occasions operating as part of an installation team to complete new equipment installations, commissioning and user training., • Working to preventative maintenance and installation work which is often booked 2-3 months in advance, whilst also reacting to more pressing breakdowns and repairs., • Working with the engineering planner to coordinate activities and movements., • Conducting routine service and calibration work, alongside more reactive maintenance, including fault finding, problem resolution and repair., • Completing service visit reports. About You The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of service engineering / technician experience, gained working on complex automated pharmaceutical equipment, including robotics, production/processing, materials handling, packaging and filling machinery. Candidates must speak fluent English and be multiskilled with a mechanical focus. You must be comfortable travelling in the UK and spending nights away from home when needed. A degree level education is beneficial, but not essential. It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable working on high value automated machinery. Technical Environment • Electrically biased systems with mechanical and hydraulic integration, • Fuel storage, transfer, and fluid-handling systems, • Large fabricated assets including tanks, skids and packaged systems, • Highly regulated and safety-critical environments (aviation, industrial, hazardous areas), • Use of external design consultants and certifying bodies What We’re Looking For You’ll be an experienced engineering professional who is comfortable managing complexity, ambiguity, and scale.
