As our new Facilities Assistant, youâll help make that happen â ensuring our school always looks its best and runs safely, efficiently, and smoothly. About the Role Working alongside our Facilities Manager, youâll play a vital part in the day-to-day upkeep of the school site â helping to create a space where pupils can learn and staff can teach without interruption. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. From fixing a leaky tap to making sure our classrooms and outdoor areas are spotless, your work will have a real, visible impact. What Youâll Be Doing ⢠Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site, ⢠Supporting with groundskeeping and site housekeeping, ⢠Ensuring all areas are safe, secure, and compliant with health and safety standards, ⢠Assisting with vehicle checks and basic fleet maintenance Weâre looking for a reliable, practical team player who takes ownership and pride in their work. Youâll be: ⢠Proactive â you spot what needs doing and take initiative, ⢠Dependable â the team can always count on you, ⢠A full UK driving licence (desirable), ⢠Experience in maintenance, caretaking, or a similar hands-on role, ⢠Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills About Us Waterloo Lodge School is an independent specialist day school for students aged 10 to 18, supporting young people with a wide range of needs in the Lancashire, Manchester, and surrounding areas.
