Job description As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of product development, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will guide our teams in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, legality and quality, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is based across the UK and Hungary so all applicants need to be fluent in both English and Hungarian and have the ability to travel. There is flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid role with offices based in North London. Please email with a short cover letter and up to date CV to apply. Key Responsibilities ● Own the quality control process to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance with industry regulations. ● Review and implement quality control systems and procedures to maintain product consistency. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain and marketing to drive innovation and improve existing products. ● Manage relationships with suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements. ● Manage the relationship with our manufacturing site, including conducting regular visits to production facilities and processes to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. ● Investigate and resolve any quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. ● Manage and update data base with product information such as allergens, nutritional information and other required data which shared with customers during request and used completing customer portals ● Oversee product development from concept to launch, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards Qualifications & experience ● BSc in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field. ● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or quality management role within the food industry. Experience with products such as cured meats, sauces, dips, or antipasti is beneficial. ● Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control processes, and product development. ● Experience with HACCP, BRC, or other food safety certifications. ● Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross- functional teams. ● Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality. ● Hungarian / English speaker ● Occasional travel to manufacturing sites in Hungary will be required.
