CNC Machinist Location: Corby Salary: £30,000 ( + £80.00 monthly attendance bonus) Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday Hours 8 am – 5 pm (Monday – Thursday), 8 am – 1 pm (Friday) Our client is looking for a reliable and motivated experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing production team. The Role Working within our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will have experience working with HAAS CNC mills and lathes and a good understanding of machining practices within a manufacturing environment. Candidates who can independently set up and prove out jobs will be at a distinct advantage. Key Responsibilities: • Operate HAAS CNC milling and turning machines safely and efficiently., • Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications., • Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance., • Inspect components to ensure quality standards are maintained., • Monitor production output and identify any quality or process issues., • Maintain a clean and organised working area., • Work closely with colleagues and the team leader to meet production targets., • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times., • Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes where required. The ideal candidate will have: • 3 years' experience within a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment., • Experience operating HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes., • Good understanding of machining tolerances and quality requirements., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work., • A positive attitude and willingness to learn., • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently., • Strong time management and organisational skills., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Desirable Skills • Ability to set up and prove out jobs independently., • Experience selecting tooling and adjusting offsets., • Knowledge of editing CNC programs., • Experience working in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
