KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Financial Operations: Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment runs, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely., • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and business liquidity., • Debtors Management: Develop and implement strategies to reduce debtor days and improve cash collection efficiency., • Cost Control: Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies across the organization., • Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and contribute to the creation of board reports., • Contract: Manage new contracts in line with company processes, • Compliance and Reporting: Review and submit quarterly VAT returns and support year-end audit and statutory account preparation. Support on budgeting and forecasting., • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with contract managers, finance team, and senior leaders; adopt a hands-on approach as needed., • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of two finance assistants, fostering professional development and accountability., • Finance Admin/Support: Perform additional duties as directed by the Finance Director Assist with operational finance tasks to meet deadlines and maintain smooth workflow. Contribute to system enhancements and implementation projects. REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to start in April., • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy., • Proven experience in an SME or high-growth environment; commercial cleaning or facilities management experience is advantageous., • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software., • A confident and articulate communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels., • Experience in managing and mentoring finance teams., • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)., • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach., • A 'can-do' attitude is required as well as experience within a sizeable business.
