Housing Officer – Manchester Patch (Remote / Hybrid Considered) Contract: 6–12 Months (Temporary) We are currently partnering with a well-established Housing Association to recruit an experienced Housing Officer for a contract role covering the Manchester area. This is a great opportunity for a motivated housing professional who is confident managing tenancies and delivering high-quality housing services across a diverse urban patch. Key Responsibilities • Manage a designated patch of tenancies, ensuring effective housing management services from tenancy sign-up through to termination, • Deal with a wide range of housing management issues including tenancy breaches, ASB, rent arrears support, and estate management concerns, • Conduct tenancy visits, property inspections, and estate walkabouts (remote working with occasional site visits across Manchester), • Investigate complaints and resolve tenancy-related issues in a fair, timely, and professional manner, • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners including local authorities, support services, and enforcement agencies, • Support tenancy sustainment and contribute to reducing tenancy failure and void loss, • Ensure all casework is accurately recorded and compliant with housing legislation, policies, and procedures Key Requirements • Proven experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar role within a Housing Association or Local Authority, • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, and sector best practice, • Experience managing tenancy enforcement, ASB, and rent arrears (highly desirable), • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and prioritise effectively, • Comfortable working remotely with travel across the Manchester patch when required, • Immediate or short notice availability is highly desirable What’s on Offer • Flexible remote / hybrid working arrangement, • Competitive contract opportunity, • Initial 6–12 month assignment with potential for extension, • Opportunity to join a respected Housing Association with a strong regional presence
