Are you a newly qualified, returning, or experienced Occupational Therapist looking to grow your skills across diverse services? Join our Band 5 Rotation at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. Our rotation offers eight varied placements, including: • Adult and Older People's CMHTs, • PSYPHER (First Episode Psychosis), • Learning Disabilities (CTLD), • Secure Services, • Home-Based Treatment (Crisis), • Mental Health Rehabilitation (STaRS) We also offer an across‑service rotation with CHCP and Humber Health Partnership, creating opportunities to gain experience in both mental and physical health services. As an Occupational Therapist in Humber, you will have the opportunity to network and develop alongside more than 90 OT colleagues through our established Professional Network Forum. You’ll also have access to our Band 5 Rotation and dedicated CPD Group, as well as the Multi‑Professional Quality‑Marked Preceptorship Programme. Applications are welcome from students nearing qualification or awaiting HCPC registration. • This Rotation offers OT’s the chance to consolidate their knowledge and develop both OT specific and generic skills that are transferable across teams and service‑user groups. We are therefore looking for people who will take the opportunities afforded by this, and who can foster effective working relationships with professionals and with service users., • The post‑holders will be expected to assess and deliver evidence‑based OT interventions, to facilitate wellbeing and optimise independent functioning in self‑care, productivity and leisure activities, from an occupational perspective., • Interventions can take place in home environments, community settings and in‑patient units, with flexibility of working required to meet service‑user needs., • There may be an expectation to be involved in projects or service developments happening within teams allowing the post‑holder to develop their skills within this area., • All Occupational Therapists have access to supervision, CPD networks and the Rotational OT’s can participate in a monthly Band 5 OT Development Group. For further information for this vacancy please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification. • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy, • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council, • A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, • Knowledge of occupational therapy models of practice, standardised assessments and their use, • Basic IT Skills, • Willingness to consider undertaking the training required to be a Practice Placements for students, • Evidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level e.g. degree or postgraduate level or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning, • Successful completion or willingness to undertake and complete preceptorship, • Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in relevant service area, • Understanding of caseload management and care co‑ordination responsibilities, • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of care, • Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development, • Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation, • Effective inter‑personal/communication skills, • Work within the culture of improving working lives and working time directive, • Ability to demonstrate ethical values and attitudes within a culture of equality and diversity, • Manoeuvres patients/service‑users and or equipment., • Requirement of frequent concentration e.g., assessments, care plans, • Provide working hours to support the service needs, • Awareness of leadership/management skills and qualities, • Ability to manage daily operations and maintain a safe working environment Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
