About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and adaptable Personal Care Assistant to support an elderly disabled female living with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. This is a direct employment role (not through an agency) providing personalised, one-to-one care within a private home setting. The pay rate is £15.00 per hour, and the core working hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. You will also need to be flexible to cover weekday shifts as required, particularly to cover staff sickness or annual leave. You will assist with a variety of personal, medical, domestic, and social care tasks to help the individual maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life in accordance with their personalised care plan. Collaboration with family members and other carers will be an important part of the role. Employment is subject to satisfactory references, a probation period, right to work verification, DBS check, health assessment, and successful completion of the required training programme. Riverlee Books has been in business for 15 years and is looking for a casual worker on a regular basis to catalogue books from home so that they can be sold on internet sites. We will supply the books, also a handheld scanner to read bar codes. You will need a laptop, PC or tablet and an internet connection. I will give full training and examples of descriptions. You DON'T need to read the books(!); the catalogue description just needs to state whether the book is in good condition, hardcover or paperback etc. I can supply the books, normally 4 boxes at a time containing about 20-25 books each. Usually cataloguers aim to complete four boxes a week but that may vary during school holiday periods (for example), When the file is complete you send it to me attached to an email or etc. For four catalogued boxes I pay £65, plus extra for high value sales. You need to be based in the North Enfield/ Broxbourne / Waltham Abbey area or adjoining areas for collection purposes. No car needed as I can deliver, and hours entirely to suit. So will suit someone with young school age children, or a retired person etc.
