    Part time dog groomer wanted. 1-2 day a week with the possibility of it leading to more. Why join us? We quickly identify individuals who are keen to progress and will provide them with the necessary training and experience to do so. We are a busy but friendly and relaxed salon and we are looking for experienced, customer focused, friendly stylists who have a genuine enthusiasm for dogs to join our salon. We are currently recruiting for an assistant stylist within our salon based in HODDESDON Responsibilities of a Stylist: • MUST be reliable., • Able to groom and style breeds of dogs to a high standard., • Overseeing the running of the salon., • Demonstrating a hands-on approach and willingness to train to our high standards., • Supporting your head stylist in preparing the dogs ready for their groom., • To show helpfulness toward for the sales performance of the salon, identifying any improvements needed., • Booking and managing appointments, this includes answering phones and talking to customers face to face., • Delivering high standards of customer service and being confident in talking with customers., • Going ‘the extra mile’ for every customer., • Ensuring a clean and professional presentation to our high level of housekeeping and maintenance of equipment. Requirements of a Stylist: • A genuine interest and love of dogs, • A valid qualification and preferably a minimum of 2 years experience in dog grooming professionally, • A confident and positive approach to handling dogs., • Willing to build strong relationships with our customers and their pets., • Excellent communication skills., • A thirst for continued training and team development., • The drive and determination to work equally well as part of a busy team and under own initiative., • Willingness to pass grooming knowledge to trainee stylists and students (grooming Marvellous is also home to GM Academy a training school and will occasionlly have students in being taught by the head stylist).
