Skilled Worker Welwyn Garden City £ 26,680 - £28,085per year 40 hours per week We are looking for a Skilled Worker to join our day to day team based in Welwyn Garden City. As a Skilled Worker you will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance and repairs service that meets contract and customer expectations. Working alongside other Operatives, the role will include collecting rubbish, moving materials, fetching and carrying, ground works, damp and mould treatments, fencing, repairs, installing signage, paving, painting, general works across lots of sites in the area. The role of Skilled Worker will include: • Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties to help the Operatives on site, • Completing out repair jobs via our FSM app, • Liaising with the planning team, • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, • Providing accurate and timely information on progress of jobs, • Collection of rubbish and debris from work areas and dispose in the skip, • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or have relevant trade background, • Relevant experience in a similar role, • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation, • Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads, • Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling, • Good communication skills We provide in-house repairs and maintenance for a wide range of properties, as part of a not-for-profit organisation.
