    WE’RE RECRUITING – PARKVIEW RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME We currently have vacancies within our team for: 🧹 HOUSEKEEPING & LAUNDRY 🎨 ACTIVITY COORDINATOR 👩‍🍳 COOK / KITCHEN ASSISTANT We are looking for reliable, friendly and motivated people who want to work within a residential care home and contribute to providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable home for our residents. Previous care home experience is welcomed but is not essential for every role. Relevant experience or transferable skills are required. A transferable DBS registered with the Update Service is preferred. Full role induction and relevant training will be provided. 🧹 HOUSEKEEPING & LAUNDRY You will help to ensure our residents live in a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Your duties will include: • Cleaning residents’ bedrooms and communal areas, • Cleaning bathrooms, toilets, lounges, corridors and other areas of the home, • Completing scheduled daily and deep-cleaning tasks, • Following infection prevention and control procedures, • Using cleaning products and equipment safely, • Collecting, washing, drying and folding residents’ clothing and linen, • Ensuring residents’ personal clothing is cared for appropriately, • Returning clean laundry to the correct residents, • Keeping the laundry and housekeeping areas clean and organised, • Reporting any damage, maintenance concerns or infection-control issues, • Completing required cleaning and laundry records, • Working respectfully around residents and their personal belongings You should be organised, reliable and have good attention to detail. 🎨 ACTIVITY COORDINATOR This role is about helping our residents continue to enjoy a meaningful and fulfilling life. Your duties will include: • Planning and delivering a varied programme of activities, • Spending time with residents to learn about their interests, hobbies and life histories, • Providing group activities and meaningful one-to-one engagement, • Supporting residents to continue hobbies and interests that are important to them, • Organising celebrations, themed events and seasonal activities, • Supporting community involvement, trips and outings, • Encouraging residents to make choices about activities they would like to take part in, • Adapting activities for different abilities and needs, • Supporting residents who may prefer quieter or individual activities, • Building links with families and the local community, • Recording activities, participation and meaningful outcomes, • Taking photographs where appropriate consent is in place, • Bringing new ideas and creativity to the home We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic, creative, confident and genuinely enjoys spending time with older people. Experience in care or activities is beneficial, but transferable experience from areas such as hospitality, community work, entertainment, education or similar roles will also be considered. 👩‍🍳 COOK / KITCHEN ASSISTANT You will help provide residents with safe, nutritious and enjoyable meals while maintaining high standards within the kitchen. Depending on your experience and the position offered, duties may include: • Preparing and serving meals, snacks and refreshments, • Supporting the preparation of breakfast, lunch, evening meals and supper, • Following menus and residents’ individual dietary requirements, • Catering for allergies, special diets and modified-texture meals where required, • Following food hygiene and food safety procedures, • Checking and recording fridge/freezer and food temperatures, • Completing required kitchen records and checks, • Receiving and correctly storing food deliveries, • Monitoring stock and supporting stock rotation, • Keeping the kitchen, equipment and food-storage areas clean and organised, • Washing dishes and kitchen equipment, • Following cleaning schedules, • Supporting the Cook with food preparation and service, • Helping ensure residents receive meals that meet their individual preferences and needs Applicants interested in the Cook position should have suitable cooking/catering experience and be confident preparing meals for multiple people.
