Senior Product Manager – Manufacturing & Inventory Technology (Operations Systems / OSM Product Manager) Location: Seattle/Spokane, WA (Hybrid) - 2x/week Travel: Required travel to Spokane, WA, monthly Role Type: Contract Full Time Level: Senior Individual Contributor About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager – Manufacturing & Inventory Technology (OSM Product Manager) to support the delivery, optimization, and long-term ownership of operational technology capabilities, including ERP-driven manufacturing and inventory solutions. This role supports a high-visibility operational and technology transformation in a fast-growing, high-pressure environment, ensuring that manufacturing and inventory systems are configured effectively, aligned to business needs, and adopted successfully across operations, supply chain, and engineering. This position is designed as a senior individual contributor responsible for driving clarity, execution momentum, and delivery discipline across manufacturing and inventory technology initiatives. The role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Technology, and implementation partners to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and deliver measurable operational impact. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role intended to bring strong product ownership, deep manufacturing and inventory domain expertise, and rigorous delivery to a complex operational environment. Role Summary The Senior Product Manager – Manufacturing & Inventory Technology will serve as the primary point of accountability for manufacturing and inventory system capabilities within our operational technology ecosystem, including Acumatica and related integrations. This role is responsible for ensuring requirements are clearly defined, system configurations are executed effectively, priorities are managed, dependencies are resolved, and post–go-live performance is owned. The position spans the full lifecycle from implementation through stabilization and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong operator, doer, and “closer” who can work effectively in ambiguity, influence cross-functional partners without formal authority, and bring structure to complex operational and technical challenges. This person takes ownership, drives decisions to completion, and delivers outcomes—not just plans. Candidate will also mentor and enable team members with limited manufacturing experience, helping them adopt and execute new processes effectively. They will operate confidently across executive stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and frontline users, balancing strategic intent with hands-on execution to ensure manufacturing and inventory systems enable efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and growth in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Strategy ● Own the product roadmap for manufacturing and inventory within Acumatica. ● Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, and process flows. ● Evaluate tradeoffs to ensure scalability, data integrity, and operational efficiency. ● Define and track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock turns, service levels, cycle count variance, and production adherence. Technology Implementation & Configuration ● Lead hands-on configuration of manufacturing and inventory solutions, including workflows, master data, rules engines, and integrations. ● Oversee implementation with a focus on accuracy, auditability, scalability, and financial integrity. ● Define integration requirements across ERP, MES/WMS (if applicable), and reporting platforms. ● Validate system design, data models, and end-to-end process behavior pre-deployment. ● Own master data governance, transaction accuracy, and replenishment logic (min/max, safety stock, reorder points). Manufacturing & Inventory Process Ownership ● Own and optimize manufacturing processes including BOMs, routings, production planning, WIP tracking, costing, and shop-floor execution. ● Ensure materials availability aligned with production and capacity constraints. ● Own inventory best practices including cycle counts, lot/serial tracking, FIFO, shrink control, and audit readiness. ● Partner with warehouse and supply chain teams to improve receiving, picking, put-away, and material flow accuracy. ● Provide guidance and enablement to team members with limited manufacturing experience, ensuring proper adoption of processes and systems. Vendor, Program & Stakeholder Leadership ● Serve as the primary business and technical lead for software vendors and implementation partners. ● Partner with project managers to ensure milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met. ● Drive cross-functional alignment, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. ● Own technical decisions around scope, sequencing, and change requests. ● Challenge vendors when solutions fail to meet business needs and drive decisions to closure. ● Engage confidently with VPs, senior leaders, and frontline users. Change Management, Adoption & Continuous Improvement ● Lead change management activities including training, communication, documentation, and readiness. ● Partner with operations to ensure workflows are adopted and optimized post-launch. ● Champion standardization and continuous improvement across teams. ● Manage post–go-live backlog, enhancements, and system stability. ● Troubleshoot complex configuration, integration, and data issues. ● Use operational data and analytics to continuously improve system performance and business outcomes. Required Qualifications ● 7+ years in Product Management, Technical Program Management, Solutions Consulting, or similar roles. ● 5+ years experience with ERP rollouts and integration in a manufacturing environment ● Deep hands-on manufacturing experience with BOMs, routings, production planning, WIP, costing, and shop floor operations. ● Background in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or industrial environments. ● Hands-on experience configuring and implementing ERP, manufacturing, or inventory systems (not vendor-only oversight). ● Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, data flows, and transaction lifecycles. ● Experience leading technology programs and managing implementation partners. ● Demonstrated success driving organizational change and technology adoption. ● Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. ● Execution-oriented mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and results. ● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. ● Outstanding organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. ● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. ● Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams effectively. ● Proven ability to influence outcomes without formal authority. ● Strong interpersonal skills and comfort navigating conflict and competing priorities. ● Politically competent, confident, and pragmatic. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience with ERP platforms NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle. ● Ability to interpret SQL, data models, and integration patterns. ● Experience with MES, WMS, inventory planning, forecasting, or replenishment systems. ● Strong analytical skills using Excel, BI tools, or operational dashboards. ● Knowledge of software development methodologies. What Makes You Successful in This Role ● You can move fluidly between business processes and technical system details. ● You turn ambiguity into structured, executable plans. ● You lead vendors and internal teams with confidence and accountability. ● You take ownership beyond go-live through long-term system stewardship. ● You have a “closer” mindset—driving decisions, pushing work to completion, and delivering outcomes. ● You think like an operator and problem-solver, not just a planner. ● You can mentor and enable team members with limited manufacturing experience to adopt processes and execute effectively. ● You thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment and can ramp quickly to meet urgent business needs.
