This role is designed as an entry point into GTI’s manufacturing organization, with opportunities to grow into skilled trades and technical roles.Position Overview GTI is hiring Entry-Level General Laborers to support daily production operations across fabrication, welding, assembly, and paint departments. This is an evergreen position used to maintain a steady pipeline of candidates for current and future manufacturing needs.General Laborers provide hands-on support to skilled trades and production teams by assisting with material handling, basic assembly, surface preparation, shop organization, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. No prior manufacturing experience is required. Training is provided.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Shop Support • Support fabrication, welding, assembly, and paint teams with daily production tasks, • Assist with material movement, staging, and part handling across departments, • Prepare work areas and maintain shop organizationFabrication, Assembly & Paint Support, • Assist welders, fabricators, assemblers, and painters as directed, • Perform basic assembly, fastening, masking, sanding, cleaning, and surface prep tasks, • Support paint operations with part prep, masking, hanging, and cleanup, • Support mechanical and electrical assembly teams with component staging and installation assistanceTools, Equipment & Housekeeping, • Use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision, • Maintain clean workstations and shared shop areas, • Assist with equipment setup, teardown, and cleanupSafety & Quality, • Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and work instructions, • Maintain quality awareness and report defects or issues, • Support safe handling of materials, tools, and equipmentTeam & Production Support, • Follow direction from supervisors and lead workers, • Support production schedules through reliability and flexibility, • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentRequired Qualifications, • Willingness to learn and work in an industrial manufacturing environment, • Ability to follow instructions and safety requirements, • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift, • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work on your feet for extended periods, • Reliable attendance and strong work ethicPreferred Qualifications, • Prior experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, warehouse, paint, or assembly roles, • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or industrial environments, • Interest in growing into skilled trades such as welding, assembly, paint, electrical, or maintenance 1st shift 5:00am-3:30pm/2nd Shift M-Thurs 4pm-2:30 am
