American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/30/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in the Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit Float Pool within an acute care hospital setting, • Float among observation, med-surg, general surgery, ortho surgery, short stay surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, telemetry, and progressive care units, • Care for med-surg and post-op surgical patients as well as PCU-level patients with strokes, CHF, post vascular procedures, arrhythmias, DKA, and those with lines, drains, and chest tubes, • Nurse to patient ratios are 4-5:1 on med-surg and 3:1 on progressive care, • Night shifts with weekend coverage as needed, including possible consecutive weekends, • First to float within facilities in Region I as required, • Remote cardiac monitoring present, RNs required to read telemetry strips, • Uses Cerner EMR, • RNs will perform patient care duties in various hospital units based on staffing needs, • Self-scheduling is permitted, but block scheduling is not available, • General hospital orientation, online learning modules, Cerner validation, and unit-specific orientation provided, • Royal blue scrubs required, • Charge nurse does not typically take a patient assignment, • Nurse aides are available with a 10:1 ratio, • No on-call requirement, • Holiday coverage may be required depending on staffing, • Returning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year\n \n Requirements\n, • Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration, • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience with med-surg and stepdown/PCU background, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Experience titrating drips such as heparin, nicardipine, nitroglycerin, insulin, and cardizem recommended, • Ability to operate CPAP and BiPAP equipment when needed, • Must provide 2 professional references: one supervisor reference from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years, • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
