Evanston is renowned for its beautiful lakefront, diverse dining, and cultural attractions—making it an ideal location for healthcare professionals seeking rewarding Illinois nursing jobs.\n \n\nEmergency Room RN Job Details\n\n • Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)\n, • Location: Evanston, IL 60201 (Greater Chicago Area)\n, • Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract\n, • Start Date: December 29, 2025\n, • End Date: February 9, 2026\n, • Contract Duration: 6 weeks\n, • Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30)\n, • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1710 - $1750\n, • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n, • Holiday Requirement: If scheduled\n, • Floating Requirement: Willingness to float to other Endeavor Health facilities (Glenbrook, Skokie, Highland Park, Evanston) as needed\n, • Unit Details: 24-bed Emergency Department, average daily census ~110\n, • Charting System: Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred)\n\n\nER Registered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience\n, • Previous charge nurse experience (required)\n, • Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience (required)\n, • Certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all required)\n, • Clinical skills: conscious sedation, IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, triage, cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation\n, • Must pass EKG test (84% or higher on first attempt)\n, • Epic charting experience preferred\n, • First-time travel nurses and local candidates welcome (no radius rule)\n\n\nKey Responsibilities for Emergency Room RN\n\n, • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in a busy Emergency Department\n, • Perform triage, trauma care, and emergency interventions in a clinical healthcare setting\n, • Administer and monitor procedural sedation\n, • Initiate and maintain IVs, manage telemetry and ventilators\n, • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, rapid response)\n, • Float to other hospital units or Endeavor Health facilities as needed\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic medical records (EMR)\n We believe in empowering your career.
