American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CVICU, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/03/2025, • Duration: 14 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in a 42-bed Cardiovascular ICU specializing in open heart surgery, heart transplants, and LVAD care, • Care for patients with advanced heart failure, multi vessel disease, coronary artery disease, pulmonary hypertension, and valvular heart disease, • Perform and assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, intubations, tracheostomies, and central line insertions, • Work a day shift schedule (3x12 hours), with every other weekend required, • No on-call responsibilities, • Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed, • Unit averages 6–8 bypass pump surgical cases per day, • Module-based orientation is provided during the onboarding process, • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment, • Expected to work all major holidays that fall within assignment if one or two occur; if three holidays fall, two must be worked, • No blocked scheduling permitted for this role, • Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift or unit, • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, • Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; RTO is not allowed during the first week of the assignment, • Full compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to ensure timely start due to bi-weekly orientation schedule, • If unable to return to a previous facility, travelers must complete an assignment outside the system before rebooking\n \n Requirements\n, • Active GA or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience excluding travel assignments, • Experience with immediate post-open heart surgical admissions, Swan Ganz catheters, manual thermodilution syringe calculations, and epicardial/transvenous pacing wires, • Ability to assist with common ICU procedures and advanced cardiac care, • Two supervisory references (manager or above) are highly preferred for consideration, • Perm staff must have a one-year break from Piedmont facilities before returning as a traveler, • Must be available to submit required documents and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
