Job DescriptionJob Title: Back Office Medical Assistant Floater Job Description The Back Office Medical Assistant Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, both in clinical and administrative functions, to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant floater is also responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will work in various offices to support in either the MA role or dedicated lab duties. Responsibilities • Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision., • Support clinician and care management teams in patient assessment and chronic disease management., • Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks., • Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public., • Assess emergencies and act accordingly., • Float between locations as patient queue demands.Essential Skills, • Medical terminology knowledge, • Phlebotomy skills, • Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships, • Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly, • Flexibility to float between locations, • Organizational skills, • HS diploma required, • MA diploma OR Certified MA (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience, • Experience working in a pediatric environment, • Bilingual (English-Spanish), • Ability to take vitals (manual vitals preferred), • Active BLS certification, • Active driver's licenseAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with TriMed EMR preferredWork Environment This position requires working 100% onsite, floating between Midtown, Miami Beach, Brickell, and Coral Gables offices. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and every other Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Week 1 involves 42.5 hours, while Week 2 involves 46.5 hours. The role offers an opportunity to go permanent, with $0.67/mile reimbursed for travel between clinics. If required to float outside of core locations, a $20 gas card is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Miami, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36000.00 - $46000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
