Job Description Commercial HVAC Service Technician Pay: $20-$35/hour Location: Central New York Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: HVAC School Graduates to Experienced Technicians About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is open to candidates with formal HVAC schooling as well as seasoned technicians with years of field experience. You’ll work on a wide range of commercial equipment—from rooftop units to chillers and boilers—while enjoying a supportive environment, strong benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Key Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC systems, • Apply knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, and mechanical layouts, • Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and electronic control systems, • Conduct pipe fitting, welding, and brazing tasks as needed, • Interpret and work from blueprints, work plans, and schematics, • Experience in HVAC service (commercial or residential), • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic abilities, • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts, • Commercial HVAC experience (not required but highly valued), • EPA Certification (Type I, II, or Universal), • Experience or certifications with chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and blowers We offer a work environment designed to support your success and long-term career growth: • Flexible schedule with on-call rotation only once every six weeks, • Extra pay for on-call weeks—even if you’re not called out, • Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k), • Sign-on bonus up to $10,000, • Cost-of-living raises and regular performance-based increases, • Extensive training opportunities and access to state-of-the-art equipment, • Company truck and gas card provided Technicians serve customers throughout Central New York, from Rochester to Utica.
