Position Summary The Senior Residential Mortgage Underwriter’s primary job function and responsibility is to underwrite residential mortgages, cross-train credit admin staff, and manage production pipeline to ensure quality and efficient flow in the origination process. Supervisory responsibilities • Indirectly supervise, support, and train assigned employees in the Credit Administration Department. Other Responsibilities (if applicable) • Pipeline management and maintain operational efficiency and quality. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field required., • At least 7 years of experience required, in conforming to jumbo loan limits., • Familiar with portfolio mortgage product originations, • Well versed with FNMA Selling Guide and or other rules/regulations/laws governing the industry, • Requires active listening, excellent writing skills, communication skills, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, organizational skills etc., • Knowledge of processes pertaining to residential mortgage originations, • Fluency in a second language preferred but not required Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
