It is not acceptable for a client or their family to tell a HHA not to disturb a client when arriving or leaving. If this presents a problem, HHA must a call their Case Coordinator so they can review this responsibility with them. * Under all circumstances, HHA must call 911 without hesitation if a client is in distress or in need of immediate help. The OB/Gyn Physician is directly responsible to the Chief Medical Officer of Central Jersey Medical Center, Inc. Duties Provide and coordinate all aspects of patient care as defined by their specialty, including attending to the care of hospitalized patients; responsibility for proper maintenance of the medical record (i.e. charting); problem follow-up; and arranging for and coordinating specialty consultations. Serve as major medical resource with their own area of expertise to other CJMC providers. This will involve direct supervision of nurse practitioners, as needed, as well as acting as medical consultant to other CJMC providers when required and keeping up to date in the individual specialty and actively sharing new knowledge. Share responsibility with other CJMC providers (as designated by the Chief Medical Officer) for the following: • Development, maintenance, and provision of an after-hours telephone coverage system., • Maintenance of the problem-oriented record keeping system to be used jointly with nurse practitioners, social workers, nutritionists, and other health care providers., • Maintenance and utilization of a comprehensive database., • Development and maintenance of an audit system to evaluate and monitor the quality of care rendered and to ensure compliance with protocols and that all providers give care that is complete that is complete, up-to-date, and uniformly applied to all patients in similar situations. Be involved in the design and maintenance of in-service programming for health care providers in CJMC. Release time for C.M.E. activities will be at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer. Program Description The Residential Crisis Support program, or “The Respite,” is a residential mental health crisis, alternative-to-hospitalization program offering short-term Peer-led care in a friendly and supportive home-like environment. Guests are provided with the opportunity to learn and practice recovery and relapse prevention skills to support their current mental health crisis and to provide more effective tools to cope with future crises and avoid hospital-based care. Recovery-oriented services are provided 24-hours a day and include peer support, self-advocacy education and self-help training while supporting guests to maintain their established daily activities such as visiting with friends, attending a doctor or other appointments or going to work or school. Guests are encouraged to participate in the operations of the residence, including working together to prepare communal meals. The maximum length of stay is 28 days. Position Overview The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership , administration, and day-to-day operation of The Respite. This includes policy and procedure development and implementation, staff recruitment, scheduling, training, supervision and evaluation, management of physical environment, quality assurance and quality improvement activities, internal and external reporting. The Program Director is responsible for meeting all contractual and licensing standards and obligations. The Program Director is on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
