Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelors degree or higher (preferably in Education or a related field), • Minimum 1-3 years of formal or informal teaching experience with children grades K-5., • Strong knowledge of math and reading strategies., • Strong communication and leadership skills., • Comfortable managing and working in a room with a large group of elementary students., • Ability to administer and interpret academic assessments., • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (including Chromebooks). Preferred Skills/Qualifications • Possess or qualify for a Georgia Teaching License., • Experience working with English Language Learners (ELLs)., • Experience working with volunteers., • Experience working with diverse populations and multicultural settings., • Experience coaching others in instructional strategies (math and reading)., • Candidates over age 25 who are willing to drive a small bus/van to transport up to 14 students to afterschool, in addition to filling this role, will receive an additional $2/hour above their determined pay rate. Physical Requirements • Must be able to sit, walk, and carry/lift items up to 30 lbs., • Navigate campuses quickly, including climbing stairs and pushing rolling carts., • Adequate hearing and vision to fulfill job responsibilities.
