Job DescriptionJob Title: Sanitation Manager Pay Rate: $110,000-$120,000 Shift: 1st Key Responsibilities • Own and manage the facility’s sanitation and pest control programs in a food manufacturing environment., • Plan, schedule, and oversee sanitation activities across production lines and facility areas., • Maintain and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)., • Oversee chemical handling, storage, MSDS/SDS documentation, and related safety training., • Lead, coach, and develop sanitation supervisors and hourly sanitation staff., • Conduct sanitation training programs, including onboarding, refresher courses, and documentation management., • Ensure compliance with FDA, NYS, HACCP, GMP, and internal food safety standards., • Lead sanitation verification and validation activities (visual inspections, ATP testing, microbiological monitoring)., • Partner with Quality on Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) and participate in corrective action processes., • Support internal and external audits (SQF/GFSI, FDA, customer audits)., • Track sanitation KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives., • Manage sanitation department budget and cost controls., • Serve as the primary contact for sanitation chemical suppliers and third‑party service providersRequired Skills, • Cleaning & sanitation practices, • Production sanitation, • Scheduling & coordination, • Food safety & regulatory compliance, • Housekeeping, • Knowledge of FDA, GMP, HACCP standardsTop Skills, • Cleaning, • Sanitation, • Scheduling & coordinatingAdditional Qualifications, • Experience in bakery, snack food, or high‑allergen food manufacturing preferred, • HACCP certification or advanced food safety training, • Experience supporting SQF, BRC, or GFSI‑aligned audit programs, • Familiarity with environmental monitoring and microbiological testing Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
