Job Description We are looking for a dedicated cook to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food, health and safety regulations and company standards. The cook's responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing, workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigeration and store rooms are kept clean and tidy. Customer service: Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and provide recommendations based on preferences to create a positive experience. Cash handling: Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions, and accurately return change. Bar maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and organized by washing glasses, wiping counters, and restocking supplies like liquor, mixers, and garnishes. Inventory management: Monitor stock levels of all bar supplies and help with inventory control and ordering. Legal compliance: Verify customer identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age and monitor for signs of intoxication to prevent over-serving. Skills and qualifications Personality and soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, a positive and engaging attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Technical and practical skills: Knowledge of drink mixing techniques and tools, basic math and computer skills (for POS systems), and strong organizational and time-management abilities. Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, and some roles may require lifting up to 25-100 lbs. Education/Certifications: A high school diploma is standard.
