Customer service: Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and provide recommendations based on preferences to create a positive experience. Cash handling: Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions, and accurately return change. Bar maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and organized by washing glasses, wiping counters, and restocking supplies like liquor, mixers, and garnishes. Inventory management: Monitor stock levels of all bar supplies and help with inventory control and ordering. Legal compliance: Verify customer identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age and monitor for signs of intoxication to prevent over-serving. Skills and qualifications Personality and soft skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, a positive and engaging attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Technical and practical skills: Knowledge of drink mixing techniques and tools, basic math and computer skills (for POS systems), and strong organizational and time-management abilities. Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, and some roles may require lifting up to 25-100 lbs. Education/Certifications: A high school diploma is standard.
