RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide continuous supervision, structure, and emotional support to youth in accordance with STRTP licensing and agency standards, • Implement daily routines, behavioral support strategies, and activities consistent with individual treatment plans, • Utilize trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to help youth manage distress or conflict, • Intervene in crisis situations following approved agency and CDSS policies to ensure safety, • Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings to improve care practices, • Coordinate and assist with making transportation arrangements for school, medical, social activities, therapy appointments, and court hearings, • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide crisis support, • Participate in program staff meetings and additional meetings when necessary, • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, consistent with CDSS STRTP and agency requirements, • Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • Education/experience requirements:, • Bachelor’s degree OR, • Associate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR, • High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience, • Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, working in the social services field, providing intensive crisis support to youth & families, short term residential care, or acute psychiatric setting, • At least one year experience in an acute psychiatric setting, in an acute residential placement such as a Short-Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP), or providing intensive crisis support to youth, • Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time, • At least 21 years old, • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements, • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca’s insurance policy PREFERRED: • Experience providing care in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment strongly desired, • Resolving crisis by utilizing effective crisis communication skills SCHEDULE • Full-time, • Day, Swing, Overnight shifts available (hours vary), • On-call system, scheduled ahead of time with supervisor BENEFITS • Starting at $30.90 - $33.40 per hour, commensurate with experience, • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam, • Salary increases each year, • Stipends provided to staff members participating in the emergency on-call shifts, • 5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays, • Comprehensive benefits package:, • Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, fertility coverage, • Long-term disability, family leave, and life insurance, • 50% paid premiums for dependents, • 403b Retirement Plan, • Employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan, • Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employer, • Scholarship opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities, • Promotional opportunities across the agency in California and WashingtonCompany DescriptionFor more than four decades, Seneca has offered a simple promise to each youth and every family we serve: No matter how profound the difficulties you face, we will be with you every step of the way.
