Informs patient if additional scans are performed. * *Performs daily Fascal, weekly Phantoms Quality Control tests; appropriate action is taken for variances. * Demonstrates Accountability for Safety Practices in CT and Diagnostic Imaging: * *Identifies patient verbally and confirms with 2 patient identifiers (order or request) with patient ID band during first contact and prior to medication administration. * *Performs “Procedural Pause” on all exams; verifies exam/side and ensures Meditech order matches the written order. Ensures indicators for procedure is appropriate. * *Medications and sharps are secured at all times. * *Administer contrast media in accordance with the Medication Usage and Contrast Policies: * Medications are secure at all times; removed from Acudose after patient screening and prior to administration. * Practices the 5-rights for medication administration. * Evaluates and documents complete contrast questionnaire about medical history, allergies, and contrast history prior to all administration. * Relays to supervising radiologist or physician as appropriate; documents. * Completes Risk Management Report in Meditech for Medication/ADR related events.
