The primary responsibility will be full time patient care (or parttime if arranged). The physician will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages. The full time clinical role requires 8 sessions (4 hour sessions) per week, with two additional administrative sessions weekly. There are productivity standards that must be met. The physician oversees the primary care of an assigned panel of patients, evaluation of patient history and physical findings, and efficient completion of medical records for all encounters, including asynchronous work via the patient portal, MyChart. The mission of the Department includes research, teaching, patient care, and public service. The Department has a decentralized organizational structure across four sites (Parnassus, ZSFG, VAMC, and Mission Bay) and approximately 38 divisions.
