Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications: • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)., • Completion of a Residency Program., • Completion of a Fellowship, if applicable to the medical specialty., • Valid medical practice license., • Board certification in the relevant medical specialty., • Hospital-approved credentials (medical license, clinical privileges)., • Unrestricted DEA registration., • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans for hospitalized patients., • Design and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical conditions, co-morbidities, and overall health, while collaborating with specialists and healthcare teams., • Provide ongoing inpatient care by conducting regular rounds, monitoring patient progress, assessing treatment responses, and addressing any complications or changes in conditions., • Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and medical interventions in accordance with established protocols, ensuring accurate dosages and timely administration., • Perform various medical procedures and interventions within the area of expertise., • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies, to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment monitoring., • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care, discuss treatment plans, and address clinical concerns., • Effectively communicate with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses, while addressing any questions or concerns., • Educate patients and their families on self-care, medication management, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge instructions to promote understanding and active participation in their healthcare., • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including patient histories, physical examination findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and ethical standards., • Engage in hospital committees, case conferences, and multidisciplinary rounds to discuss complex cases, review treatment outcomes, and contribute to the overall quality improvement of patient care., • Attend conferences, seminars, and continuing medical education programs to stay informed about the latest medical research, guidelines, and advancements in the field., • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, including infection control measures, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements, to ensure a safe healthcare environment., • Provide leadership and supervision to medical residents, interns, and medical students, offering guidance, mentorship, and support in their clinical education and professional growth., • Uphold professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all aspects of patient care, fostering trust, empathy, and respect in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.Physical Requirements:, • Prolonged periods of standing or walking., • Ability to lift, position, push, or transfer patients and equipment., • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching., • Regular exposure to hazardous chemicals, ill patients, bodily fluids, noise, and potential exposure to radiation, lasers, and electric shock., • Consistent risk of bloodborne diseases and other transmissible infections., • Contact with patients in various circumstances, including interhospital transport in emergency vehicles, ambulances, helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft., • Ability to adapt to varying and unpredictable situations., • Capability to handle emergency crisis situations., • Potential contact with hazardous materials.Skills & Abilities:, • Proven clinical competence and expertise in managing both acute and chronic medical conditions., • Ability to provide patient care across the lifespan, considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns throughout the care process., • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with physicians, staff, patients, and their families., • Excellent analytical skills for evaluating patients and determining appropriate treatments., • Ability to maintain sensitivity and flexibility in challenging situations., • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate medical record-keeping., • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. The salary range for this position is between $425,000.00 and $485,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and will take into account various factors, including relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
