Job Description A machine job shop has immediate openings available for CNC SET UP PERSON, MACHINE OPERATORS, Tool Makers, Press Set up, Machinist, Programmers, Shop Floor Planners, Set-up, and Operators in our CNC and Manual departments for 1st ,2nd, and 3rd shifts. We seek experienced individuals to setup and operate the following CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, WaterJet, Laser, Swiss Screw Machines and Wire EDM equipment. Programming and manufacturing experience REQ D (WE WILL NOT TRAIN YOU, ONLY PERSONS WITH EXPERIENCE PLEASE APPLY) Candidates must work independently and have 3 + years experience. We use late model equipment from Mori Seiki, Fadal, Star, Flow, Amada and Mitsubishi. Our facility is ISO 9001:2000/ AS 9100, The shop is temperature controlled (winter and summer). The ability to think out of the box, while being able to take direct instruction. The know-how to read, examine, and understand blueprints. Founded in 1999, TurboFil designs and builds custom liquid filling and assembly systems for pharmaceutical, medical, and other high-precision applications. Our machines are highly customized, often one-of-a-kind, built to meet specific customer requirements. We are a collaborative, hands-on team where machining is a critical part of the build process, not a separate production function. Position Summary: We are seeking a CNC Mill Machinist to operate and program our Haas CNC mills, manual mill and lathe. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and precision, rather than repetitive production work. Most parts we produce are one-offs or short runs, requiring full setup, programming, and problem-solving. The machinist will work closely with our engineering and assembly teams to produce components that directly impact machine performance and reliability. Responsibilities include: • Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC milling machines using G-code, • Perform full setups including tooling selection, fixturing, and offsets, • Machine precision components from a range of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics, • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, • Hold standard machining tolerances, with tighter tolerances as required, • Perform in-process and final inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other tools, • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot designs and improve manufacturability, • Maintain organized work areas and ensure machines are properly maintained, • Contribute to continuous improvement of machining processes and workflows Qualified candidates will have: • Experience programming CNC mills using G-code (Haas experience preferred), • Strong setup experience with the ability to take a part from print to finished component, • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, • Solid understanding of machining principles across a variety of materials, • Experience working to standard and tight tolerances, • Proficiency with inspection tools and quality verification, • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship, • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team, • Willingness to learn and adapt in a custom machinery environment What we offer: • Competitive hourly wage (based on experience), • Generous paid time off including holidays and PTO, • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, • 401(k) with employer contribution, • A collaborative environment where your work has direct impact, • The opportunity to work on custom, high-precision machinery rather than repetitive production Work schedule and application details: This is a full-time, hourly position based in Mount Vernon, NY. Job Description SUMMARY: Responsible for operating various machine tools to produce precision metal parts. Produces small batches or large quantities of manufactured parts. Must perform secondary functions such as assembly, welding, deburring, polishing, etc. Ensure products meet precise specifications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner., • Reads and interprets prints/drawings., • Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet and inspect tolerance requirements., • Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, buffing, bending, sanding, and a variety of other cutting tools and other equipment., • Achieve up to +/-0.0005” tolerances., • Machine parts such as tools and manufactured product out of metal, plastics and composites, • Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials, etc. onto/into machines, • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses cutting tools, inserts, fixtures and tooling, • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures, • Maintains specifications by observing machine operations; inspecting; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting setups/controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes., • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions, • Documents actions by completing production logs, in process inspection sheets, and E2.
