Job Description COMPANY: Tetakawi DEPARTMENT: Facilities FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: Provides support in facility maintenance activities to include maintenance, repair, fabrication and upgrade of physical structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under direction, participates in maintenance activities to ensure proper, efficient, cost effective, working order of building and utility systems, including but not limited to HVAC units, generators, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Ensures cleanliness and acceptable aesthetic appearance of buildings and grounds., • Completes assigned work quickly and efficiently, per supervisor’s instructions, ensuring safety at all times and minimizing interruption to company productivity. Maintains a safe and clean work environment, supports other members and customers, follows supervisory instructions, and complies with established procedures, rules, and regulations., • Ensures safety of personnel and guests by identifying hazards within facilities and grounds and promptly repairing, correcting, securing, or reporting any potentially hazardous issues. Follows safety requirements and completes safety forms and checklists; inspects and utilizes safety equipment., • Participates in staff meetings., • Performs preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration., • Performs repairs and maintenance, and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility., • Attends vendors and/or contracted services pertaining to the maintenance of the facility and grounds., • Maintains equipment in working order and follows procedures of established shop practices including safety protocols & practices., • Assists manager and/or supervisor with work order follow up to completion, materials procurement, and assists on internal audits., • Have experience/ability to build/ install cabinets/fixtures for offices and building remodels., • Sanding, cutting, use of tape measure, working with “CNC” machines, welding equipment, woodworking equipment., • Be able to perform electrical installation work., • High school diploma or equivalent required, • • Certification in related field such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry preferred, • Basic working knowledge of building operation, maintenance, mechanical, and utilities systems., • Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently., • Must be able to communicate professionally, clearly and concisely, orally and in writing., • Forklift experience preferred., • Detail oriented., • Computer proficiency required., • Must be able to think outside the box/abstract thinking., • Woodworking/craftsman experience (preferred). While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. High level of schedule flexibility may be required; must be willing to be on-call or report to work after regular work hours on occasion. Be able to use PPE, including steel toe work boots, hard hat, face mask, gloves, high visibility vest, ear protection, and protective eyeglasses Ability to travel occasionally to Texas location.
