Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Family Justice Center (FJC) is a collaboration among existing public and private agencies in Union County, NJ, to provide support, services, and resources for victims of domestic violence, with the goal of making these services more accessible and available. The collaboration represents a true integration of services that is fully client-centered and meets the needs of clients in a holistic manner and in a single location. The FJC Legal Intake Worker will report to the FJC Director. At the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of the Family Justice Center, carries the responsibility for client intake. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • BA/BS from accredited college or university., • Minimum 3 years' experience working in the legal field, or an area connected to the legal field., • Demonstrated knowledge of the court system and legal reliefs available to victims of family/domestic violence., • Minimum 2 years' experience delivering direct client services., • Must have good interpersonal skills and active listening skills., • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, • Knowledge of domestic violence (may receive training upon start of employment), • Must demonstrate cultural competency in experience or education.
