Rochester (zip 14642) offers a vibrant arts scene, parks, and a welcoming community — an excellent destination for travel nursing and cardiac cath lab nurse jobs.\n \n\nTravel Nurse Job Details\n\n • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 – $2,840 (competitive travel nurse pay)\n, • Position Type: Travel Nurse — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab RN\n, • Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Rochester nursing jobs, New York travel nursing)\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Shift: 12-hour days preferred (3x12) or 4x10 (7:00am – 5:30pm or 7:00am – 7:30pm); weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as needed\n, • Setting: Inpatient and outpatient procedural Cath and EP labs — interventional cardiology and structural heart programs\n\n\nRequired Qualifications (Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Nurse)\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) experience or equivalent interventional cardiology/critical care experience\n, • Active RN license in New York State\n, • BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification required\n, • Moderate sedation training and demonstrated competency\n, • Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition\n, • Critical care or advanced cardiac nursing experience\n, • Proven experience with complex procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman) and mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, LVAD)\n, • Proficiency interpreting right and left heart hemodynamics and supporting complex interventions (CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, vascular interventions, RotoPro, AngioVac, FlowTriever)\n\n\nPreferred / Nice-to-Have\n\n, • Cardiovascular certification (RCES) or similar\n, • EP lab / ablation experience and familiarity with electrophysiology devices\n, • Experience with structural heart cases: CardioMEMS, PFO/ASD/VSD closures, Valvuloplasty, Alcohol Septal Ablation (ASA)\n, • Prior travel nursing or contract Cath Lab RN experience\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n, • Provide comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, structural heart procedures, and EP interventions\n, • Monitor and manage patients during complex cardiac and structural procedures, including hemodynamic assessment, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management\n, • Administer and monitor moderate sedation per hospital policy and ensure safe recovery\n, • Set up and manage Cath/EP lab equipment, cardiac devices, and assist interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists during procedures\n, • Support mechanical circulatory devices (ECMO, Impella, LVAD, IABP, ProtekDuo) and participate in device-assisted procedures\n, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — interventional cardiology, EP, CVT, anesthesia, vascular teams, and support staff — to optimize patient outcomes\n, • Participate in on-call rotations, weekend and holiday coverage, and perform charge duties as assigned\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #470876.
