Job Description Job Title: Patient Service Tech/Med Equip Driver Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Spokane Valley, WA (onsite) Contract Duration: PERM Work Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Local Medical Equipment Delivery Driver OVERVIEW Seeking a dependable, customer focused Patient Service Technician to serve patients throughout the Spokane Valley area, Eastern Washington, and Northern Idaho. This position combines customer service, local driving, medical equipment delivery, equipment setup, patient education, and troubleshooting. While driving is an important part of the position, is specifically prioritizing candidates with strong customer service backgrounds. The company can train the right individual on equipment setup and delivery procedures. • Drive assigned routes to deliver and set up respiratory and durable medical equipment in patients' homes, • Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients and caregivers, • Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment, • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety, • Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time, • Maintain assigned company vehicle in a clean, safe, and service ready condition, • Respond to urgent equipment needs during assigned on call periods, • Follow company safety procedures and applicable healthcare requirements, • Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal team members, • Perform other duties as assigned SCHEDULE & COVERAGE • Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, • Full-time schedule, • Field based position with regular travel to patient homes Coverage Area • Approximately 60-mile radius from the Spokane Valley office, • Service territory includes areas throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, • Candidates should be comfortable driving throughout the assigned territory On Call Expectations • On call rotation shared with two other employees who assist with coverage, • Candidates must be able to respond appropriately to afterhours patient and equipment needs during their assigned rotation, • The 60-mile candidate radius is important because of on call response requirements LOCATION REQUIREMENT • Candidates should reside within approximately 60 miles of Spokane Valley, Washington, • Proximity to the service area is important due to on call response requirements, • Strong knowledge of the Spokane Valley, Eastern Washington, and Northern Idaho area is preferred VEHICLE AND DRIVING REQUIREMENTS • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required, • Company vehicle used for patient deliveries and service routes, • Driving or delivery experience is helpful but is not the primary requirement, • Candidates must be comfortable driving throughout a 60-mile service radius, • Knowledge of the local service area is strongly preferred, • can train the right candidate on driving procedures and medical equipment setup ROLE REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or GED required, • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required, • Strong customer service skills required, • Ability to successfully complete required employment screening Preferred • Strong previous customer service experience, • Experience working directly with customers, patients, or the public, • Knowledge of Spokane Valley and surrounding areas, • Delivery or route driving experience, • Experience with medical equipment, • At least one year of related work experience, • Healthcare or home medical equipment experience, • Familiarity with medical terminology SKILLS • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, • Professional and compassionate communication with patients and caregivers, • Strong organization and time management, • Ability to independently manage daily routes, • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail, • Strong problem solving skills, • Ability and willingness to learn medical equipment setup and troubleshooting, • Reliability during assigned on call periods, • Ability to work independently while remaining part of the local team, • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS • Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, • Email and electronic documentation systems, • Internet navigation and research, • Computer and tablet proficiency, • Ability to operate standard office equipment, • Ability to learn the operation of applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies, • Ability to perform basic equipment troubleshooting, • Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and secure medical equipment according to company procedures PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds, • Frequent driving throughout the workday, • Regular loading, unloading, carrying, and positioning of medical equipment, • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen throughout the workday, • Close vision required for paperwork, computers, tablets, and equipment, • Regular contact with patients and medical equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens, • Must comply with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy, • Medical evaluation and fit testing required, • Annual recertification required, • Must meet OSHA requirements for proper N95 mask seal \nCompany Description TechLink Systems is a national provider of staffing services with offices all over the USA as well as development and support centers globally.
