Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling, testing, repairing, and overhauling electro-mechanical connection systems and related products in a production environment. You will work with hand and power tools, read and interpret complex technical drawings, and support cross-functional activities to ensure high-quality products and on-time delivery. Responsibilities • Work safely at all times, follow all safety procedures, and proactively identify, observe, and report any health and safety risks in the workplace., • Perform electro-mechanical assembly according to specified requirements, technical drawings, and established procedures., • Conduct pre-delivery tests on assembled products, document test results, and complete required documentation after approvals., • Document products in ITC lists and other required records in accordance with established standards., • Report working time and activities accurately in the ERP system or similar business systems., • Support colleagues and work cross-functionally with other departments when needed to meet production and customer requirements., • Maintain a clean and organized work area by following 5S principles and perform basic maintenance and overhaul on equipment as required., • Participate in improvement groups and actively contribute ideas to improve processes, quality, and efficiency., • Clean, disassemble, repair, and overhaul train connection systems and related products in line with customer orders and specifications., • Document repair and overhaul work in accordance with implemented procedures and quality requirements., • Assist with receiving, shipping, inspection, and picking activities when required to support overall operations., • Maintain quality and cleanliness of inventory locations when picking materials and performing inventory control tasks., • Use hand and power tools such as wrenches, impact guns, drills, table saws, pneumatic nail guns, micrometers, and calipers to assemble and service products., • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and complex technical drawings to ensure correct assembly and repair., • Follow all company directives, production instructions, and safety rules consistently., • Perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting as needed to complete daily tasks., • Lift, carry, and move components and products, including items weighing up to approximately 70 pounds when required., • Ensure accurate and legible documentation and handwriting on all forms, logs, and quality records. Essential Skills • Prefer 3+ years of experience in a mechanical assembly field or production environment., • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints., • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools such as wrenches, impact guns, drills, and measuring tools including micrometers and calipers., • Ability to perform electro-mechanical assembly and follow detailed work instructions., • Comfortable using power tools such as drills, table saws, and pneumatic nail guns., • Ability to use problem-solving skills and critical thinking to identify and resolve issues during assembly and repair., • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and materials efficiently., • Effective communication skills for working with co-workers and other work-related contacts., • Demonstrated ability to be dependable, including punctuality, productivity, working without close supervision, and strong attention to detail., • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently., • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to approximately 70 pounds when required., • Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination to assemble products or machines accurately., • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components., • Ability to read and follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment., • Legible handwriting for completing documentation and records., • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Forklift experience preferred., • Overhead crane experience is a plus., • Experience using ERP systems or similar tools for time reporting and production tracking., • Experience in mechanical assembly, repair, or overhaul of engines, parts, or other complex mechanical systems., • Willingness to be taught, share knowledge, and continuously develop skills., • Team-oriented mindset with a humble, collaborative, and safety-conscious approach., • Ability to participate in improvement groups and contribute to process and quality enhancements., • Comfort working with 5S or similar workplace organization methodologies., • Comfortable adhering to company directives and adapting to changing priorities in a production environment.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
