Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Field Environmental Technician is responsible for performing work on various remediation and industrial maintenance projects in full compliance with established procedures. The role requires strict adherence to all policies, health and safety protocols, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities: • Perform field work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects under direct or indirect supervision., • Accurately complete all required documentation, including timesheets, daily work reports, driver’s logs, and daily tailgate safety meeting forms., • Understand and adhere to the project’s detailed scope of work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, project schedules, and established policies and procedures., • Follow all safety protocols during all phases of field operations., • Work in areas of varying dimensions, including tasks that require squatting, crawling, or extended periods of physical exertion., • Follow directions and communicate effectively in English; read and interpret hazard placards, safety labels, and site-specific safety plans., • Safely operate and perform safety checks on all licensed vehicles., • Travel for out-of-town projects as required, potentially for two weeks or longer., • Comply with all safety standards and requirements applicable to the project site., • Physical demands and environmental conditions vary depending on project requirements., • Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions., • May be exposed to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noise, heavy equipment, and long work hours., • Physical activities may include prolonged standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more., • Must remain clean-shaven to ensure proper fit and seal of respiratory protection equipment.Qualifications:, • High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills)., • Experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction, or industrial cleaning is preferred., • Valid Class “D” Driver’s License required., • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) preferred., • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry certifications are desirable but not mandatory., • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and substance screening is required.
