Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Referral Bonus, Paid Time Off On-Call Requirement: 2 nights a week and 1 weekend a month Job Description • The First Responder position is a vital role that focuses on the immediate response to water damage incidents., • This position is not only about technical expertise but also about providing exceptional customer service during emergency situations., • As the first point of contact for clients, the First Responder is responsible for conducting thorough initial assessments of water damage, ensuring that all evaluations are accurate and comprehensive., • This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen, as the First Responder must effectively communicate the mitigation process to clients, manage their expectations, and lay the groundwork for subsequent mitigation efforts., • The position demands a high level of performance in water mitigation, mold remediation, board-up, and fire and smoke procedures., • The First Responder must engage with clients on-site, explaining the technical aspects of the water mitigation process, answering questions, and providing professional recommendations., • Establishing a strong rapport with clients is crucial, as it helps to address their concerns promptly and ensures they feel confident and informed throughout the mitigation process., • Additionally, the First Responder will lead the sales process by presenting detailed scopes of work, cost estimates, and timelines to clients, securing their approval and contracts for mitigation services., • Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance is essential, as is the ability to work under time constraints to meet expected timelines., • The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the company vehicle and equipment, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and comprehensive for each job., • In this role, the First Responder will work closely with the Mitigation Manager and report directly to the Director of Mitigation. Responsibilities • Effectively assess the extent of water damage and assist with initial site inspections., • Perform thorough on-site assessments using advanced diagnostic tools to determine necessary mitigation efforts., • Provide excellent customer service and ensure the team delivers a positive customer experience., • Engage with clients on-site to explain the technical aspects of the water mitigation process and provide professional recommendations., • Establish strong rapport with clients during the initial response, addressing concerns promptly., • Lead the sales process by presenting detailed scopes of work, cost estimates, and timelines to clients., • Secure client approval and contracts for mitigation services., • Maintain a professional, positive attitude and appearance at all times., • Work closely with the Mitigation Manager and other department leads for seamless project handoffs., • Maintain a clean, organized truck and ensure all equipment is properly stocked and maintained., • Document all findings, client interactions, and decisions made during the initial response to create comprehensive project files., • Proactively communicate job site conditions and enforce safety guidelines., • Work under time constraints to meet expected timelines., • Maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, including IICRC guidelines, and apply this knowledge to assessments and recommendations., • Be accessible by phone and respond to after-hour/weekend emergencies as necessary. Requirements • Mitigation, water drying experience, and IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FRST, OR AMRT) preferred., • Related experience in Construction, Restoration, or Insurance preferred., • Strong focus on technical sales preferred., • Basic knowledge of hand tools and their uses., • Ability to effectively teach and contribute to the development of team technicians through demonstration and training., • Motivated and organized with a positive attitude., • Personable and professional, dedicated to customer service., • Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive sales., • Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
