Job Description Lead Barista/FOH Assistant Manager Grosse Pointe,MI Job Summary Seeking a dedicated and motivated Lead Barista/FOH assistant manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting daily café operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and providing strong leadership to front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and cultivating a positive, high-performance work environment. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of barista and management experience., • ServSafe Certification required, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members., • Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy shifts., • Proficiency with POS systems and cash-handling procedures; basic math skills required, retail math preferred., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Knowledge of food safety and handling practices preferred., • Ability to perform latte art and develop a training program for staff., • Knowledge of cold brew production. Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the team to ensure smooth operations., • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly., • Train, mentor, and onboard team members in customer service, café procedures, cash handling, and product knowledge., • Oversee cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and POS transactions., • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed., • Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and maintain cleanliness in the work area. Support achievement of sales goals through effective team leadership, motivation, and customer engagement. • Oversee syrup production and collaborate with the team to create monthly specialty beverages., • Manage cold brew coffee production processes and standards., • Support and coach staff in latte art proficiency and beverage presentation.
