Job DescriptionJob Title: Programmer and OperatorJob Description Join a leading metals service center as a Programmer and Operator, where you will play a crucial role in machining various metals with precision and expertise. This position offers the opportunity to work in a small machine shop environment, focusing on CNC programming and operations. Responsibilities • Operate and program CNC machines with a minimum of 5 years of experience., • Utilize Fanuc controls, G codes, and M codes for precision machining., • Set up and edit programs for 3-axis mills, ensuring accurate alignment., • Run CNC equipment during downtime to maintain productivity., • Read and interpret blueprints to set up and execute machining processes., • Use calipers and micrometers for precise measurements., • Handle machining, turning, drilling, and tapping of various metals., • Lift up to 50 pounds safely., • Work with metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, and carbon steel, as well as materials like Teflon, fiberglass, plastics, and polycarbonate., • Determine setups and tooling types required for each project., • Maintain familiarity with G Codes and M Codes.Essential Skills, • Minimum 5 years of CNC machinist experience., • Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Mastercam., • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading., • Ability to set up and operate various CNC machines.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in aerospace or automotive machining is advantageous., • Familiarity with Leadwell CNC Machines.
