Job Description Job Overview We are seeking mental health clinicians to join our clinical team on a per diem basis. We will work with you to determine the number of hours you can provide direct face-to-face and/or telehealth sessions and attend supervision so we can provide clinical support. You will work as part of a larger clinical team which includes Clinical Teams at each of our two A31 Community Mental Health Clinics located in Yonkers and Peekskill. All of our clinicians provide services using a trauma-responsive, whole-person care approach to individuals and families to ensure they receive quality services that best meet their needs. Direct clinical services provided to individuals and families would include: initial evaluations, assessments, and evidenced-based and evidenced-informed treatments - individual, family, and/or group interventions. Our clinical teams currently provide a range of evidenced-based office-based and community-based interventions including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, PCIT, and CPP. Essential Duties Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Conduct initial evaluations and assessments for new or transferred clients and document accordingly., • Develop clinically appropriate treatment plans and all related documentation for client records., • Provide evidenced-based or evidenced informed psychotherapy / interventions to an agreed caseload of clients and their families using individual, group, and/or family intervention modes (depending on training and certifications), • Implements evidenced-based treatments to fidelity, in various settings, including site-based, home, or other community-based settings in Westchester County (as agreed upon hire), • Ensures the safety of clients and their families by taking immediate action to address safety and well-being threats providing crisis intervention when needed., • Participates in weekly or bi-weekly clinical supervision (as agreed upon hire). Attend other department or staff meetings as agreed or requested by Supervisor/Director., • Focuses on respectful engagement of clients and stakeholders, anticipating their needs, providing information and non-clinical support to clients, families, colleagues, community service providers, and others to ensure high client satisfaction., • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., schools, protective services, etc.) connected to the client and maintains records of communications., • Completes all required paperwork and documentation within agency and stakeholder guidelines., • Attends all job-related agency trainings as directed by Supervisor/Director, • Maintains knowledge and adherence of the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Children’s Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (CMHRS) regulations as they relate to clinical practice., • Work with socially, economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse groups in a mutually respectful manner using a strength-based and flexible approach, • Supports overall strategic plan of the organization., • Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values and Sanctuary Commitments. Essential Qualifications Key qualifications include: • Master’s degree in social work, mental health counselling, marriage and family therapy (i.e. a licensable professional degree), • Initial active licensed preferred ( LP-MSW, LMSW, LP-LMHC, LP-LMFT) or scheduled., • Relevant clinical experience with children, adolescence, and families and some knowledge of evidenced-based practices and interventions, • Desire to learn and implement trauma-informed care and evidence-based Interventions, • High organizational and time-keeping skill to be able to work autonomously, • Strong computer skills, and ability to learn and work in electronic health record systems, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Strong clinical insight and ability to directly apply clinical feedback, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), • Bilingual and bi-cultural candidates strongly encouraged to apply, • Culturally competent and committed to championing equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, • We are looking to hire clinicians that can provide hours that work best for our clients/families. About the Role: Administrator On Duty Supervisor is expected to perform all the essential responsibilities related to health and safety, program delivery and professional practice as outlined on the Job Description for AOD. In addition, the AOD Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, planning, coordination, and evaluation of staff in this unit. This includes the direct report of the Administrators on Duty within the program. In the absence of the Coordinator of Court, Compliance and Community Relations, Assistant Residential Directors and the Residential Director, the AOD supervisor will assume the leadership role on the campus. This role also serves as the primary liaison between the treatment center and local schools, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to support the educational and therapeutic needs of students. What You’ll Do Essential Functions • Maintain communication with cottage staff and monitor staff and resident locations off/on grounds., • Ensure effective communication of priority information to all necessary staff and shifts., • Obtain census information on each shift and record in the Communication logbook., • Maintain thorough and accurate records, files and correspondence; Complete necessary documentation (both hand-written and computer based/data entry) in a timely, accurate, complete, and legible manner. May include, but not limited to notations in the logbook, AOD location board, incident reports, sign-in sheets, and any other forms used or as directed by your supervisor., • Set and contribute to a safe, dignified, orderly atmosphere by enforcing program rules, policies, and procedures., • At all times model the appropriate dress, speech, and behavior for residents. This includes dressing professionally or in designated work uniforms/dress code if prescribed., • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with adolescents and staff; Respond to all requests in a professional and courteous manner; Observe and adhere to adolescent confidentiality standards., • Maintain and promote a cooperative, harmonious, teamwork environment within the workplace. This includes deploying staff as appropriate, helping to ensure medical/clinical support during/after restraints and reviewing written documentation of incidents when appropriate., • Report all critical events or reportable incidents (as defined by policy) to the Program and Assistant Residential Director(s). Responsible for weekend 24-hr reporting to OCFS. Primary liaison to police/fire and neighborhood/community residents. • Answer telephones and follow through on requests/issues with accurate record keeping (logbooks)., • Respond to neighborhood and community calls/concerns as needed., • Document all missing person’s report information in appropriate logbooks Organize and arrange all necessary transportation. • Prioritize scheduled appointments and immediate needs for transportation of youth., • Coordinate with Medical and Education departments to arrange for drivers and vehicles to ensure program needs are met., • Utilize proper vehicle logs to provide oversight of vehicle use, cleanliness and damage. Interoffice Mail Hub • Receive, sort and distribute mail to different departments, ensuring efficient communication., • Organizing incoming and outgoing mail and ensuring prompt delivery to the intended recipients. Supervised Independent Living Program Support • Provide on-call support for the Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP) as needed, ensuring the well-being of residents and addressing any immediate issues or concerns., • Document all activities, incidents, and events related to the Supervised Independent Living Program during the on-call shift, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records., • Collaborate with SILP staff to address resident needs, enforce program guidelines, and support the overall objectives of the program., • Assist with coordinating emergency responses and follow-up actions related to SILP as required., • Review and report on the effectiveness of SILP procedures, making recommendations for improvements as necessary. Work Environment: This position is based out of our Yonkers Residential Treatment Center location for adolescents ages 12-21. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is in a 24/7 program. The AOD Supervisor shift is 7am-3pm/8-4pm. The AOD Supervisor is responsible for being available during business hours, while maintaining a flexible and structured schedule that includes regular oversight of participation in meetings, agency compliance, and ensuring that all responsibilities are met efficiently and effectively.
