Job Description Morehouse Appliances in New Hartford, NY is seeking a friendly, organized Customer Service Representative to join our front office team. You’ll be the heart of our customer experience—helping with everything from phone calls to paperwork. As the first point of contact for callers, answering general questions, initiate service orders, and efficiently routing sales calls to our sales team will be the bulk of the role. You’ll ensure clear communication, accurate documentation, and promoting a welcoming experience for every customer. Responsibilities • Handling General Phone Questions: Provide helpful information about products, services, and store policies., • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with general questions., • Writing service orders and accurately collecting customer information., • Contact customers to confirm delivery and service appointments., • Ensure schedules are clear and up-to-date to minimize confusion., • Collect balances related to deliveries and services., • Organize and dispatch sales calls to the sales team with detailed notes., • Maintain organized records and provide follow-up when needed., • Deliver positive, professional customer experiences in person. Welcoming walk-in customers and ensure they feel valued, especially when other staff are busy., • Mailing and administrative assistant duties would include but not limited to tasks like: sending out unpaid invoice reminders, and organizing monthly statements for accounts receivable. Also, gathering and processing sales and service paperwork. Ensuring these tasks are completed accurately and promptly., • Strong communication and EXTREME organizational skills., • Being detailed oriented is vital for this role., • Comfortable with multitasking in a busy environment., • Previous customer service or retail experience is a plus, but not required., • Reliable, punctual, and a team player., • Proficient with phone systems and basic computer tasks.
