Under the direction of the Ambulatory leads and project leadership, this role is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing the Epic Ambulatory and Healthy Planet Modules. The position manages the collection and translation of complex information into business requirements; develops and updates documentation to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical information systems; evaluates information from multiple sources to distinguish user needs from business needs; and collaborates with stakeholders to optimize project scope, benefits, and risks while managing expectations. Epic Certification in Ambulatory & Healthy Planet are required Key Responsibilities • Interview users and stakeholders to develop business, functional, and technical requirements., • Create test plans, technical documentation, release notes, enduser guides, and training materials., • Analyze and document business processes; communicate requirements through data models, process flowcharts, and technical specifications., • Break down gathered information into detailed data sources, data types, user roles, interface needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs., • Present concepts clearly using narratives, diagrams, and storyboards., • Research industry practices, analyze data, and deliver findings in written or oral presentations with visual aids., • Coordinate user groups and project teams, including scheduling meetings and managing minutes and followup activities., • Collaborate across teams to create designs, mockups, and prototypes., • Explain technical design issues to nontechnical audiences., • Contribute effectively within a fastpaced team environment., • Lead business initiatives involving complex projects., • Work within timelines and resource constraints defined by the PMO., • Maintain ongoing communication with users, managers, directors, and vendors to support current initiatives., • Demonstrate experience with HL7 communications and working in a PMO with crossfunctional teams., • Perform additional duties as required., • Maintain current Epic certification (current or one version prior)., • Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications., • Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business and clinical needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standards., • Convert information gathered into details including data sources, data and user types, interface components, interface navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs., • Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements., • Provide project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements; assist team in developing solutions., • Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule., • Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups as well as oversee and execute follow-up activities., • Ensure software development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with quality assurance team. Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards., • Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process. Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials., • Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with other team leaders., • Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects, • Develop and execute project presentations., • Participate in special projects as required., • Provide training to and serve as a mentor for Junior Clinical Business Analysts and/or other appropriate project team members; manage and evaluate work products for assigned team members., • Lead the training, development, and implementation of process improvements for all projects and applications., • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies., • Provide supervision and direction to junior clinical business analysts, clinical business analysts assigned at Levels I and II, consultants, and/or other appropriate project team members., • Clinical experience (preferred), • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or, • Medical, dental & vision, • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital, • 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available, • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents), • Short and long-term disability, • Health Spending Account (HSA), • Transportation benefits, • Employee Assistance Program We're partners in transformation.
