Ochsner Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to serve as Medical Director of of Pediatric CVICU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Responsibilities will include leadership, development, and oversight of the physicians in a state-of-the-art 12-bed CVICU with teaching responsibilities for pediatric residents, medical students, and allied health students. The CVICU provides cardiac critical care to cardiac patients from birth to adulthood. In this dedicated unit, a team of pediatric cardiac intensive care physicians work closely with a specialized team to provide around the clock care for our patients with both congenital and acquired heart disease. Ochsner Children’s provides services for all pediatric cardiac sub-specialties including heart failure/transplant, EP, ACHD, interventional cardiology, imaging including echocardiography and cardiac MRI and CT, and fetal cardiology, comprehensive single ventricle program, and neurodevelopmental clinic. The heart center includes 21 cardiologists, 3 congenital heart surgeons, 6 cardiac intensivists and 3 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. The program performs approximately 250 cardiac surgeries, 400 cardiac catheterizations (75% interventional) and 19,000 ambulatory visits at 15 locations across Louisiana and Mississippi per year.
