Job DescriptionOverview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Gastroenterology Physicians to support the Rochester Community Base Outpatient Clinic located at 260 Calkins Rd Rochester, NY 14623. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Responsibilities • Provide onsite gastroenterology physician services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Finger Lakes Health Care System., • Deliver a full range of gastroenterology care in a state-of-the-art medical treatment facility, meeting or exceeding national standards (American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology)., • Perform clinical and surgical procedures, including:, • Colonoscopy (diagnostic, biopsy, ablation, removal of lesions, control of bleeding), • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) (diagnostic, biopsy, removal of lesions, dilation, control of bleeding), • Flexible sigmoidoscopy, • PEG tube replacement, • Provide consultative services at the patient’s bedside or in the clinic., • Ensure timely completion of consults and procedures (within 30 days of consult)., • Deliver discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting., • Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings as required., • Complete required documentation for quality management, patient safety, and compliance., • Adhere to VA policies regarding medical records, privacy, and patient safety., • Maintain professional standards for documenting care and reporting incidents.Qualifications, • Must have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia., • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Gastroenterology (American Board of Internal Medicine)., • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)., • Credentialing and privileging in accordance with VA directives; approval required before providing services., • Technical proficiency in gastroenterology, including fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing)., • Completion of all required continuing medical education (CME) and VA-mandated training (annual and as required)., • Proof of negative tuberculosis test, immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella, Tdap vaccination, and annual influenza vaccine (or mask requirement if contraindicated)., • Compliance with OSHA regulations for bloodborne pathogens and provision of Hepatitis B vaccination., • Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and, if required, a current DEA certificate., • Compliance with all legal provisions regarding citizenship and employment eligibility (including E-Verify)., • Not listed on the HHS Office of Inspector General’s exclusion list., • Professional liability insurance and other required insurances., • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift, • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, • Lift up to 20 lbs, • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Powered by JazzHR GHb1KEbSiP
