Job DescriptionBenefits: β’ 401(k) matching, β’ Competitive salary, β’ Employee discounts, β’ Health insurance, β’ Paid time off, β’ Signing bonus Responsibilities β’ Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable, β’ Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have, β’ Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures, β’ Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories, β’ Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories, β’ Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection, β’ Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments, β’ Teach good oral hygiene techniques, β’ Take x-rays, β’ Assist dentist during exams, β’ Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policiesQualifications, β’ Associates Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelors or Masters degree preferred, β’ Current Dental Hygienist licensure, β’ At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene, β’ Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines, β’ Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly, β’ Excellent communication and customer service skills
