Job DescriptionSalary: $120-140k POSITION: Sr. Operations Manager - Electrical DWS ENERGY Founded in 2014, DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage (new construction and operations & maintenance), building controls wiring, and electrical pre-fabrication solutions in our UL-508A certified panel shop. The organization has expanded its service offerings throughout its tenure and continues to grow at an accelerated rate. OVERVIEW: The Senior Operations Manager Electrical is responsible for the consistent, profitable, and safe execution of multiple electrical projects and operational teams. This role builds upon the Operations Manager position with expanded accountability for department-wide performance, leadership development, process standardization, and operational scalability. While maintaining high standards of quality, safety, employee development, and customer relationships, this position ensures alignment across projects and teams while preparing the organization for continued growth. The Senior Operations Manager sets the operational tone, reinforces consistency in execution, and supports executive leadership in achieving company performance outcomes. The Senior Operations Manager is accountable for delivering results in the following key areas across the department: • Safety Performance (EMR improvement, incident reduction), • Employee Development (Operations Managers, Job Runners, succession planning), • Revenue Execution (schedule adherence, forecasting accuracy), • Cost Control (margin protection, cost to complete accuracy), • Department Growth (capacity planning, estimating support) DUTIES: Include but are not limited to: Safety • Set and model the safety culture across all assigned operations, • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, company, and client safety protocols, • Ensure weekly Job Box Talks and project specific safety meetings are conducted and documented, • Review and analyze near miss and incident trends, implementing corrective actions, • Partner with HR to manage accident investigations and return to work protocols, • Mentor Operations Managers and Job Runners in safety leadership, • Maintain OSHA 30 certification and valid drivers license with clean driving record Employee Development • Lead hiring, performance management, and workforce planning for the department, • Mentor and coach Operations Managers to improve leadership effectiveness, • Oversee Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for direct reports, • Work with HR to align training initiatives with operational needs, • Ensure field teams remain compliant with all applicable codes and industry standards, • Drive development of standardized, repeatable training modules, • Promote accountability, growth, and performance excellence Revenue Driver • Ensure Operations Managers clearly understand contract scope, schedule, and deliverables, • Maintain oversight of Work In Progress (WIP) across the department, • Ensure accurate monthly invoicing forecasts in coordination with AR, • Participate in key client meetings and milestone updates as required, • Support Operations Managers in labor planning and workload leveling, • Assist in resolving invoicing challenges using established client relationships Cost Control • Review and approve project estimates, budgets, and execution strategies, • Ensure consistent cost to complete updates and forecasting discipline, • Conduct regular financial performance reviews with Operations Managers, • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for margin improvement, • Guide change order identification, pricing, and documentation, • Verify field progress and manage execution risk across projects, • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability Grow Department • Serve as senior operational support for key clients and escalations, • Plan staffing and leadership capacity for forecasted work, • Support Estimating with labor factors, constructability insight, and risk evaluation, • Maintain scalable systems, processes, and execution standards, • Demonstrate willingness to take on additional challenges alongside the team CHARACTER TRAITS • Leads by example with integrity and professionalism, • Calm, decisive, and composed in high-pressure situations, • Balances business results with people development, • Highly accountable, disciplined, and growth oriented, • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, • Passion for mentoring and building strong teams QUALIFICATIONS • Commercial electrical construction experience required, • Minimum 1215 years of experience in commercial project supervision or operations, • Proven success in Operations Manager and/or Senior Job Runner roles, • Strong background in cost-to-complete forecasting and margin management, • Demonstrated ability to scale multiple projects and teams simultaneously, • Solid understanding of WIP reporting and financial controls, • Thorough understanding of control systems and commercial electrical installations, • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills, • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office, • OSHA 30 required, • Ability to travel up to 30% PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to walk job sites for extended periods, • Ability to lift 35 lbs solo / 50 lbs in tandem, • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and sit for prolonged periods, • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Senior level competitive base salary, • KPI driven performance bonus, • Strong benefits package, • Company truck and phone provided Application Process: To apply for the position of Sr. Electrical Operations Manager, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.
